2010 Nissan GT-R Records Fastest Lap
According to rumors from the North American GT-R Owner’s Club, the 2010 Nissan GT-R ran a 7:26.7 Thursday at Nurburgring, besting its previous record of 7:27.6.
While the facts have yet to be confirmed, the time would edge the already impressive GT-R closer to the Corvette ZR1 at 7:26.4 and the Ferrari Enzo at 7:25.3. The Radical SR8 still tops the street legal chart at 6:55. The 3.8L twin turbo V6 was upped five horses to 485 hp for the new model year, with a tweaked suspension and wheels beneath the body. Continuing the success of last year’s model, the shape remains relatively unchanged despite camouflage on one model.
Considering other Nurburgring lap times, the GT-R is a bargain comparing price to performance. Starting at $80,790 it beats the next quickest runners, the Pagani Zonda F Clubsport (7:27.8) and Porsche Carrera GT (7:28.7) by at least Aston Martin money. With all your savings you could by another GT-R… and another. I’ll take mine in black, gunmetal, and yellow.
